Japan's first HYROX drew 3,820 athletes — a remarkable debut that seeded the first training gyms around Tokyo.
Osaka, early 2026
The second race (30 Jan–1 Feb 2026, Intex Osaka) nearly doubled attendance to 8,087, and Kansai's gym scene followed.
Makuhari and beyond
The third race runs 6–9 August 2026 at Makuhari Messe, with organizers projecting about 12,000 athletes; Osaka and Nagoya follow in 2027. As of July 2026 we count 129 HYROX-ready gyms nationwide (Provalume survey).
